I am a passionate racing fan. I have been a huge Nascar racing fan for a long time but when I found the local dirt racing track I was hooked. Living in Everett WA, I attend Skagit Speedway as much as possible while still spending time with my wife and 2 young kids. Why did I start this site? I was always on the internet trying to find out all the information I could on dirt racing and realized besides press releases from tracks and teams and the message boards that there just wasn't much coverage and you couldn't hear audio from the drivers except for post race interviews at the track. One of my favorite drivers was Travis Rutz and he was involved in a very bad racing accident back in Indiana and I never had a chance to interview him while he was in his prime. I found this site in the NY area called Dougs Dirt Diary and talking to him a few times on email inspired me to try to start something here in the Northwest where the fans get to meet the drivers beyond just seeing them racing on a track. So in March of 2010 I came up with the name and started talking to people. I had no idea how it would turn out and they defiantly got better as the season went on. By the end of the season it became clear that people really enjoyed the podcasts and the interviews. In the end of 2012 I was inducted into the Northsound Racing Hall of Fame which was such an honor. Northsound Racing is the only Northwest radio show dedicated to racing and it's always great to be on their show. So in 2014 I am still having fun doing this podcast and interviewing the people and personalities in dirt racing.
